MY OWN RELEASES

SOMEWHERE NEXT YEAR (2022)

written by Amber Kamminga, produced with Rogier Tromp, Harold Bergsma & Dave Neijsen, mixed by Rogier Tromp & Harold Bergsma, pedal steel by Rowdy Prins.
single

“Country, pop elementen en een duidelijk onderwerp: Het gaat over haar lange afstandsrelatie in kersttijd. In 2020 was daar opeens The Bug en konden heel veel mensen niet bij hun geliefde zijn met kerst. Zo werd het opeens universeel om niet bij elkaar te kunnen zijn met kerst. Mooi vertolkt!” – CamielMusic

“One of the most notable things about Amber’s vocals is the way she subtly changes tone to convey different emotions. We were impressed by that. Amber’s performance is also highly complex, with many intricate details that most people wouldn’t even notice. The production on Somewhere Next Year stands out. We like how Amber combined classic holiday sounds with a modern twist. It’s something you don’t hear every day, and it makes the music more memorable.” – LeFutureWave

Playlisted: Kerstliedjes 2022 (Spotify), Nieuw Deze Week (Deezer)

MIDDEN ZOMER (2022)

written by Amber Kamminga, produced by Amber Kamminga, Dave Neijsen & Nick Jongejan, mixed by Nick Jongejan
single

“Amber Kamminga’s Midden Zomer captures the vulnerability and courage it takes to leave a toxic relationship. It’s like you giving up everything you’ve ever known. With its delicate guitar work and Kamminga’s emotive voice, Midden Zomer inspires you to take charge of your own destiny. So don’t wait any longer and start listening now!”

– 3VOOR12 Noord-Holland

Playlisted: Je Moerstaal, Equal Netherlands(Spotify), Nederlandse Hits (Top 100 NL) – Hits 2022 (Topsify Benelux)

NAME ON IT (2021)

written by Amber Kamminga, produced by Amber Kamminga, Dave Neijsen & Nick Jongejan, mixed by Nick Jongejan
single

“Het moet gek lopen wil de naam van Amber Kamminga niet op steeds meer plekken opduiken de komende tijd. De singer-songwriter uit Amsterdam maakt met haar nieuwe single Name On It in ieder geval voldoende indruk. Name On It heeft een prettige sfeer en zeker het refrein is erg overtuigend.” – Nieuweplaat

“Het nummer begint meteen spannend door de gitaar en bouwt zich op naar het refrein. Het knallende refrein zing je gelijk mee naar drie keer luisteren en daar ligt dan ook de kracht van het nummer. Het geluid dat Kamminga creëert past precies in het straatje van countrysterren als Taylor Swift en Carrie Underwood.” Dansende Beren

“The instrumentals are intricate and expertly composed. There are a lot of little details that I find charming, including the glowing guitar during the opening. Within her performance, Amber shows genuine conviction. She sings with impeccable timing and a velvety tone. Just like Amber’s other works, Name On It will gain worldwide acclaim for its quality. In short, it’s nothing less than extraordinary.” – Le Future Wave

3AM – HEARTBREAK VERSION (2021)

written by Amber Kamminga & Dave Neijsen, produced by Amber Kamminga & Nick Jongejan, mixed by Nick Jongejan
cello by Camille Beurret, violin by Douwe Nauta
single

To me, anger & sadness are often two sides of the same coin. I wanted to show both sides by also releasing this version of ‘3AM’. The anger and strength is in the original version, the sadness is audible in the ‘Heartbreak Version’, with a beautiful string arrangement to complement that.

3AM (2021) – SEMI-FINALIST UK SONGWRITING CONTEST 2020

written by Amber Kamminga & Dave Neijsen, produced by Amber Kamminga & Nick Jongejan, mixed by Nick Jongejan
single

“With multi-layered vocals and soft-spoken acoustic guitar the anger and grief about being wronged hit hard. She does not have to leash out to make her feelings crystal clear.” – Here Comes The Flood

“The production on this track is outstanding. It’s clear that Kamminga has a great voice, which soars throughout the track. The easy going sentiments on the versus work well, but the vocal really shines on the chorus. The heartfelt lyrics are the defining factor of the song. It’s definitely one that will make folks remember past (or current) relationships with a lot of emotion.” – EarToTheGround

Upbeat country/pop single ‘Name of Love’ was a winner in the International Songwriting Competition 2019 and received rave reviews world wide, going as far as calling me ‘the Netherlands’ answer to Carrie Underwood‘ (Talk About Pop Music). Music blog Ear To The Ground complimented the ‘rocking chorus’ and Dutch magazine &C said the song will definitely end up in your playlist. And I think it should!
